Similar to other Philodendron varieties, the Philodendron Tortum thrives in elevated humidity and warmer climates. The ideal growing medium should be well-aerated, comprising a blend of organic and inorganic materials such as sphagnum, orchid bark, charcoal, perlite, coco coir, and other commonly used ingredients. For optimal growth, it is advisable to provide the Philodendron Tortum with bright, indirect lighting. This can be achieved indoors using lighting fixtures like the ONF Aditya Plant Lamp or by placing the plant in a southern or east-facing window. While western exposures are acceptable, caution should be exercised to prevent excessive direct sunlight, which could potentially damage or burn the plant. While pruning need not be a frequent activity, the removal of older or damaged foliage can stimulate new growth.
