Schefflera emarginata is a unique and uncommon epiphytic Schefflera species from Sri Lanka. The plants have cane-like branches that eventually grow into shrub-like plants with branches that are slightly cascading. The unusually shaped foliage is joined at the narrow end and is emarginate, or somewhat in the shape of an elongated heart. The leaves are initially light green, but they become dark green as they age.
